Our 2012 Meraquas of Irvine synchronized Swimming Team. The Meraquas of Irvine is a synchronized swimming team founded in 1964 and currently have over 31 swimmers between the ages of 7 and 18 drawing from Orange County. Strengthening our program, The Coralettes of Southern California has merged with The Meraquas in 2005.
 The Meraquas has a history of achievement with swimmers placed on the US National Team as well as numerous U.S. Senior Nationals and Junior Nationals titles. Academically, our swimmers have moved onto colleges and universities including Stanford, The Wharton School of Business and The George Washington University in Washington D.C. The Meraquas prides itself on its teamwork, positive attitude, dedication, commitment, mental and self discipline, achievement, self-confidence, and most of all, the camaraderie of its swimmers.

Head Coach, Candy Hipp, has coached the Meraquas Junior Team to the National Championship, is a 1982 United States Junior Team Champion, a Senior National Finalist, and a gold medalist in Masters Competition ages 35-39 Team, Duet, and Trio.
