Calling All Chocolate Lovers! Volunteer for the Hot Cocoa Station! ☕🍫

Dear Parents,

Hope you’re all staying cozy! I’m Jenny, Olivia’s mom, and I'm excited to be coordinating our chocolate station this season!

With the days getting shorter and the chill setting in, what better way to wrap up practice than with a warm, delicious treat? Our girls (and coaches!) will love a sweet, cozy drink to keep them smiling on their way home.

Let’s keep this tradition alive and keep spoiling our 58 amazing swimmers and coaches with some warm, yummy hot cocoa each Friday. To make it all happen, I need your help!

Here’s how you can pitch in: We’re looking for volunteers to help serve hot cocoa on Fridays, with three shifts available:

  • 1st shift (6:40 - 7:10): Serve 8 - 16 swimmers & coaches (10 & under, and novice). A cozy start with just a few cups to make!

  • 2nd shift (7:10 - 7:40): Serve 16 swimmers.

  • 3rd shift (7:40 - 8:10): Serve our last group of 30 swimmers, pack up, and bring everything back to our storage.

We’ll also need a few supplies to make this tradition happen:

  • 60 hot chocolate pouches (or a big canister of cocoa mix)

  • 60 cups with lids and stirring sticks

  • 3-4 bags of marshmallows (for extra fluffiness!)

  • 4 gallons of water

  • If your daughter isn’t a fan of chocolate, feel free to bring her favorite tea—we want everyone to feel special this season!

  • For THIS FRIDAY ONLY (12/6/2024), we’d also appreciate a few boxes of cookies to treat our amazing swimmers.

Your support, whether through volunteering or providing supplies, will make a huge difference in brightening up these chilly evenings for our swimmers.

Please check and sign up on the "volunteering sign-up sheet." I’ll cover all the shifts for this upcoming Friday, and I’ll ask the team mom to stop by so I can explain the role.

Please reach out with any questions or to let me know how you’d like to help.

Let’s make this a warm and sweet season for our team!

Warm regards,

Jenny
