Artistic Swimming Information -Meraquas

Good morning,

Some of you are new and some only have been with the team for 1 season so I thought I would remind everyone the categories of this sport.

We have Novice, Intermediate, Age Group, Jr Sr.

Novice swimmers are usually new and first year swimmers. Age category 8 & U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15 and 16 -19.

Intermediate swimmers are have usually been swimming 1-3 years Age category 10 &U, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19.

Age group swimmers usually have been swimming 3 years Age category 12 & U, Youth, 15-17, 18-19. Must be level 2 swimmer in LTAD

West Zones - Must be 15 years old to swim in Junior or Senior. Categories - Youth, Junior, and Senior.

Junior Nationals - must be 15 year old to 19 years old. Must be Level 5 in Ltad

Senior Nationals - Must be 15 years or older. Must be a level 6 in Ltad.
